My advies would be: find à good guide. We went to Lo Mantang in july 2008 and had à very good time thanks to our guide and friend Lakpa Sherpa from www.nepalsanctuary.com. He took care of all these question, permits, lodges, food, routes, and had always suggestions for special events, like visiting monasteries.
In the meantime, the new road to China seems to be almost ready, so there is no need anymore to walk 4 days to get there, you can also go by jeep from Jomsom most of the time. So there will be more time to do extra things. about 7 years agoAnswered by Jan Hendriks
