Does anyone know which type of accommodation is there available in Bolivia (either in La Paz or rural communities) where it is possible to rent a studio for one person? I am a 43 year old traveller and found that it was cheaper to rent a studio for myself in Buenos Aires than a single dormitory with private toilet in a youth hostel - however I am aware that Bolivia is very different. Any tips from middle aged travellers who can't be bothered with youth hostels and are at the mid to lower end of the budget spectrum? Thank you very much.(I know Bolivia is cheap but still worried since I don't want to share with dozens of backpackers although I do like them a lot)....
Hey there, we rented a gorgeous apartment in La Paz through AirBnB. There are a few there to choose from. Our apartment was a two storey apartment, beautifully furnished for $25 a night. It belongs to a photojournalist.
In Copacabana hotels are super cheap - we stayed at Le Leyenda for only $25 a night for a massive hotel room with views of the lake - and it may be cheaper for 1 person. They also have smaller cheaper rooms too. But there is very cheap accommodation in Copacabana.
In Sucre there was not much on AIrbnb - we stayed at Hotel Kronos which was a spacious hotel $25 a night for two people.
We are older and work online so we prefer privacy and space! We found that instead of going to cheaper places in Bolivia, we just got much more for our money! For $25 a night for 2 people you can get some lovely spacious places. over 5 years agoAnswered by email@example.com
